Today, Notino customers can choose from more than 100,000 unique products from 2,700 brands. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia the perfumery was voted the best e-shop across all fields by the public in the ShopRoku (shop of the year) competition. Notino has also collected awards for its e-shops in Hungary and Poland. As its popularity grows, it is gradually opening brick-and-mortar shops in addition to its online stores. The online perfumery & beauty shop sends up to 180,000 packages to customers every day!
What makes our collaboration so specific?
We select all our translators and native speakers through an internal selection procedure, which in most cases involves our customer. We discuss our provider choices with them. Today, around 180 of our translators and proofreaders work on translations for Notino and together we cover 24 foreign languages. For each language we have a dedicated team that we regularly train and provide feedback to on an ongoing basis.

We translate for Notino on a daily basis, within both standard and express deadlines. Every job has reference materials and instructions that must be followed. “Generally speaking, we translate texts in such a way that they do not lack a marketing drive and help the client to sell,” explains Lukáš Utíkal, co-owner of our translation agency. They must be engaging, correct in meaning and attractive to customers.
Each translation is seen by at least three people: the translator, a native speaker, our project manager (a linguist) and often a member of the perfumery’s marketing team. “We are happy that Notino allows us to make the entire translation process as professional as possible,” adds Utíkal.
As the data from the end of 2024 shows, we have already translated just under 60 million words for Notino and have also proofread a similar amount. We translate mostly from Czech and often into Ukrainian, Romanian, Danish, Hungarian, English, Spanish and French.
Along with translation services, we also focus on the management and updating of terminology (i.e. a glossary), the creation of stylistic guides and linguistic consultancy.
